TPO Parts was founded as Starwind & Hawking in April 2000 as a joint venture for managing the varied skills of it's founding partners as a combined business entity. The business went through several iterations, including work as web site authors, vehicle restoration, and general fabrication. By 2004, it was obvious that we needed some specialization, and our common interest was motorcycles, and Ducatis and MV Agustas in particular. Since that time, we have worked to become a direct manufacturer of quality parts for every sports bike enthusiast.

Today AGV Helmets is owned by the famed Italian apparel company Dainese. In 1978 AGV USA, a division of Intersport, Inc. in Maryland became the official importer of AGV Helmets for the United States. In 1985 AGV SpA (AGV Helmets, Italy) assumed ownership of this distribution and Intersport, Inc. was licensed the right to make apparel and other products excluding helmets worldwide bearing the AGV name and trademark. By 1990 the name AGV Sport or AGVSPORT was being used on all apparel items including leather gloves, suits, jackets, boots, and textile garments and AGV Sports Group, Inc. was formed. For a brief period in the early 1990's AGV SpA owned approximately half of AGV Sports Group, Inc. During the 1990's AGV SpA was sold several times and went through a number of mergers and acquisitions.
